Autumn, is that you I see? If you’re like me and sensitive to seasonal changes, then you might have noticed that Summer is on its last few agonal breaths. Time to grab a light jacket and enjoy the last few weeks of sunlight whilst driving to and from work (because let’s be honest, that’s the only time we get to see the sun ☀️👀👁️)

Anyhoo moving on…

If you have recently found out you passed FCA 1 or FCA 2 (pending orals), then a hearty congratulations!!! We as a department are so proud of you and the many, many hard hours that you put in to achieve your goals! ✨🏆

Okay so lets kick-start this weeks business:

Monday

This song perfectly sums up every Monday morning to me, it also has the added benefit of boosting your mood, so go ahead and blast it on the way to work tomorrow 🎶✨👇🏻

Academics wise, please check your respected whatsapp groups for updates regarding Breakfast Club and Coffee Club meetings ( PS no actual breakfast and coffee served which came as a major shock to me at first, so make sure to still pack food for work/eat breakfast)

Tuesday

This serves to remind everyone to fill in their overtime forms regularly, so if you are a procrastinator such as myself, then make like a Nike ad and just do it 🤙🏻

Woman crush Wednesday (aka meet our new honorary Medical Officer)

Dr Rindelani Yolanda Sithole

• Born and raised in a small village called Elim in Limpopo
• Studied MBCHB in Tuks and completed her degree in 2017
• Did her internship and community service in a district hospital in Limpopo called Elim and after that started working in Tshilindzini Hospital
• Currently in a honorary post in Steve Biko in the department of anaesthesia. My dream is to become an anaesthesiologist
• I’m a wife and a mother of 3 beautiful kids. My greatest blessing is my family. I always cherish spending time with my family.
• I love travelling( locally and internationally) I enjoy travelling to new locations and encouraging with different cultures.
• Have a huge interest in interior design

Thursday

On this throwback Thursday, please enjoy a picture of that one time I went skiing in the French Alps, circa December 2021. (Somehow I was much richer as an intern, go figure 🤷🏻‍♀️)
