TIMESTAMPS

We are still seeing variability in the recording of timestamps. Here are some important definitions to align everyone :

• Entry into theatre
• Start of anaesthesia : when monitors are placed on the patient.
• Induction : commencement of induction
  • when delivery of gases of IV induction agents commentces
  • when spinal or regional anaesthetic agents are successfully injected
• Preparation complete : when anaesthetic preparation is complete, and posotioning, cleang and draping can commennce.
• Cleaning and draping complete : whene cleaning and draping is complete and surgery is ready to commence.
• Surgery start : when surgery or procedure is deemed to have commenced.
• Surgery end : when the dressing is complete
• Anaesthesia end : when the monitors are removed from the patient
