Happiest of happy birthdays to Dr Carissa Naidoo (21st April)

Hoping that every moment and everything will be picture perfect and blissful.

Dr Mata Ramutsindela

Dr Ramutsindela joined us earlier this month. She dabbled a bit in the realms of "pri-vat" and spent some time with locus agencies. Prior to that Mata has spent time working in Pietersburg hospital all the way in the Popo's.

Representing us in the MO group on Facebook, Mata saw posts regarding working here at Steve. All positive posts 🤐 I hope. Imagine if I mention someone and get called through switchboard again. Rindze (Yolanda) also advised for coming to Steve too!

Mata aspires to be the most boss anesthetist wherever she is in 5 years time! Wishing this for all of us reading the newsletter! #Mannifest!

In her spare time Mata likes to craft and read. In terms of music vibes, a huge Riri fan. Y'all know what songs to play when she's around! Her birthday is 25 November which makes her a Sagittarius for those of you that believe in stars and planets.

Dr Sebabtso Ratikoane

Dr Sebabtso Ratikoane joined us recently as a medical officer. She will be us for the year and we sincerely hope that we will be able to nurture and guide her growth as our seniors did with us. She did her community service in the clinics in the Vaal (last year). Prior to her com serve, she did internship at Leratong. She went through a season of unemployment since Januworry 🫠 where she had some locums opportunities.

She mentioned hearing about us during her time at Leratong during the Anaesthesia rotation. #WordsFadeMemoryPersists

Her hobbies include spending time in beautiful spaces i.e. massages and peaceful restaurants with people she enjoys. She currently still stays quite far all the way by the waters of Vaal. So if you guys know a place, hit a girl up would ya!

5 years time, she aspires to be an employed specialist in Gauteng. She would also like to grow her family so maybe as a mom too. #goals She currently does not have pets but she loves dogs. Who would blame her? 🐶 Her birthday is 14 October which makes her a Libra. For those that conjugate based on stars.

Her go to artist: Cleo Sol🫶🏽 I've taken the time to include a playlist below.

For those of you who also like perusing ATOTW to get some much needed material to keep up with details. This article is on capnography. It explores aspects of capnography and compares intubated waveforms vs non-intubated waveforms. It also goes through some physics aspects of our monitoring modality which is super helpful for us to understand our tools better.
