A brief reminder of running MMeds

Please please assist each other in this troublesome time so that we can all progress and make this department a better place!

Dr Pako Mabe: Inserting of LMA technique with laryngoscopy (around 200 patients needed for completion)

Dr Jeremy Wong: Virtual reality in patients undergoing regional technique with a previous regional within 18ish months. (100 patients needed for completion) Please contact Drs Wong or Bhabha for device if suitable candidate is available.

Dr Annari Barnes: Input of centricity data.

Patient in OR:
The time patient arrives IN theatre

Anaesthesia start time:
Monitors on patient/putting up any line/Moving patient onto operating table.

Preparation completed:
All preparation complete from anaesthesia.

Cleaning and draping complete:
When cleaning and draping is complete and surgery can start.

Surgery start:
Knife to skin (also known as “cutting time” on the nursing time sheet).

Surgery end:
Incision site is covered with primapore/ last plaster of Paris is placed by orthopedics.

Anaesthesia end time:
This is the time the patient is extubated/ready to leave theatre to go to PACU (or HCU/ICU if not PACU.)

Delays:
All relevant delays under the CASE dropdown in the taskbar under TIMES-DELAYS.

Anything your heart desires can be put onto a sheet pan, then covered with a layer of puff pastry and egg wash. Baked at 180 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes until pastry is cooked through, keeping an eye on the baking process.

Allow to cool and enjoy!
