I take this opportunity to do a small piece on our new interns. Some have not commented or responded to our pleas of getting to know them better. None the less, do what you need to when the time comes for signatures. 😂 JK
Here's a scoop on our new interns for March and April. Me being a bit of a potter head also have included some Harry Potter references.
We have our first response from Dr Kyle Windt
With bravery comes our first Griffindor. When prompted for hobbies, Kyle boasts a few which includes piano, digital/traditional painting and cross country running. Looking towards his future, Dr Windt I would like to be a registrar in Ophthalmology or Internal Medicine in 5 years time.
As someone who always posts Spotify playlists, I've taken the opportunity to ask what each doctor's go to song is... Kyle's ones are No gravity by Zedd or anything Cold Play. Talking pets Dr Windt has a I have a 9 year old Bull Terrier
Born on 31 August 1999, for people that believe star signs makes a difference, he is Virgo
Last but not least dream destination is the French/Italian Rivera

What Hogwarts house are you?
I’ve never watched Harry Potter so I have no idea haha. (you guys can hear me gasping on the side I'm sure)
Her hobbies include professional makeup & hairstyling at weddings. She has 11 years experience in this. In 5 years time, she would like to be a wife, a mom and hopefully on the road to becoming a plastic surgeon.
Dr van der Linde's favourite artist is Sabrina Carpenter. She currently has no pets but a dachshund is in her future for sure. Her birthday is 23 April making her a Taurus. Her dream destination to travel includes anywhere with great food.
Then our 3rd response came from Dr Jessie Rowse
She mentions she only watched Harry Potter by forced, but took a quiz and apparently a in Ravenclaw.
When asked about hobbies: "What hobbies? But if I have the time I like to dabble in a little crocheting." We always understand that time in our busy lives is a luxury. In time she hopes to be enjoying life as a GP and a mom.
#Typical white girl: Taylor Swift is her go-to artist! I don't blame you as we do have swifts lurking around.
Pets! Did anyone say Pets? Yes, a dog named Blue and a Beta fish named Dolly Parton. Her birthday is 22 January - Aquarius. Dream destinations include both Japan and Greece. Ahhh a woman of culture.

Dr Barbara Taylor
Dr Barbara (husband calls her "Babakat") normally doesn't do selfies, but we graciously thank her for submitting us one so we can put a face to the name. Her hobbies include cooking, kids and now trying fly tying for fly fishing. A very interesting hobby. Moving down the future she sees herself happily working as a GP and possibly playing "Ouma"...who knows these things... Extremely grateful for doctors who want to be GP's. GP's are the cornerstones of our current medical society. Her go to artist is Laurika Rauch.
She has a black labrador called Bessie. Her birthday is 4th of June making her a Gemini. Celebrating her birthday in her next rotation. Her dream destination to travel is Amalfi coast, Italy. Amazing choice!

Chinese dumplings
Here you can swap out frying the dumplings for steamed version, then perhaps a bit of cook and spray in the air fryer for a crunchy finish. 10 dumplings here count as one serving and this recipe yields 50 dumplings. Yat sang and Kokoro does sell pre-made dumpling skins. Optional swap-outs, who knows, if you prefer imitation crab, fat free cottage cheese and chives for a creamy version of this.
