Weekly update 16/12 to 20/12
As we look back on this incredible year, we can’t help but feel inspired by all the hard work, dedication, and growth we’ve witnessed. Each person has contributed in their own unique way, pushing boundaries and lifting each other up to achieve new heights. It's been a time of personal and collective triumphs, and we should all take a moment to reflect on the strides we've made.
In light of all the amazing progress, we’ve decided to take a well-deserved recess —a time to recharge, rejuvenate, and come back even stronger. Let’s celebrate all that we've accomplished and give ourselves the space to rest before we dive into the next chapter of 2025. 🥰

Wednesday
#HumpbackWednesday
Happy Wednesday, everyone! We’re halfway through the week, and it’s the perfect time to pause and reflect on how much we’ve accomplished so far. Let’s keep the momentum going and finish the week strong. Remember, small wins add up—take a moment today to celebrate what you’ve achieved so far and set a clear intention for the rest of the week. Stay focused, and let’s keep pushing forward!
With this said, I came across a young article published 3rd December with regards to adult with congenital heart disease presenting for non-cardiac surgery. With recent medical advances and treatment options, what would have been naturally selected in the past 🤐 now often waltz into our theatres.
Thursday

It’s Thursday, and the weekend is in sight! As we enter the final stretch of the week, let’s keep our energy high and our goals in focus. Whether you’re tackling big projects or tying up loose ends, today is a great day to bring your best to everything you do. Take a deep breath, stay motivated, and let’s make this day count!
Besides on thursdays we wear pink. Wear pink to view christmas lights for free at Sun Time Square Festive Lights. AND kids under 12 get a free slushie and popcorn!
Friday
We made it—it’s Friday! 🎉 Let’s finish the week on a high note by reflecting on everything we’ve achieved and celebrating the progress we’ve made. As the weekend approaches, take some time to recharge and enjoy the break. You’ve earned it! Wishing you all a relaxing, well-deserved weekend ahead. Let’s come back next week ready to do it all over again!
A reminder that we are undergoing our summer festivities and recess at this point in time. Academic presentations will resume on the 17th January with an introduction from our professor and HOD - Prof. Spikerman. As per our roster, this introduction will be followed by a tutorial from Prof Rantloane about transducers and cardiac output monitoring.
