Recipe inspiration of the week

Who said cooking is tiring?

#15 minute quick recipe

https://fitmencook.com/recipes/beef-and-broccoli-ramen/
  • Fine egg noodles
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 4 tablespoons sesame oil
  • Soy sauce, plus 1 tablespoon (to taste) - ideally Maggi seasoning (Asian one if possible)
  • 2 cups broccoli floret(300 g)
  • Canola oil
  • Beef steak, thinly sliced (personally recommend a softer and more tender cut)
  • Yellow onion (half), thinly sliced
  • Spring onion finely chopped

Recipe

  • Boil your noodles until aldente, drain and set aside.
  • Marinate your beef in soy sauce, half the sesame seed oil and corn starch
  • Pan-fry beef until cooked. Then in the same pan, stir-fry the onion until soft then add broccoli and garlic
  • When cooked, add the beef and noodles.
  • Stir-fry until well combined
  • Serve with spring onion as garnish

Tricks

  • Mix your thinly sliced beef to cornstarch for velvety beef.
  • Pan fry them before hand to half cooked (love them, leave them alone for a bit of beefy crunch) to get that restaurant style velvety beef without overcooking the beef.
  • Pan-fry your boiled noodles in batches to get that restaurant style not-soggy noodles.

If you change or substitute things, it is now your recipe and not mine. Please don't ask me why it doesn't taste like mine 🤣
