This past weekend was a very exciting and prestigious one for us a department, where a few of our Consultants (and Alumni) were in attendance of their graduation 🎓

We would like to extend a heartfelt congratulations to Prof Sandra Spijkerman on completing her PHD 📜
Your hard work and dedication is an inspiration to us! ✨✨✨
The Twins aka Nolu Mlabateki and Aggie Morosi
And in attendance (and looking amazing) was none other than our dynamic duo and powerhouse besties, Dr Noluthando Mlabateki and Dr Agnes Morosi! 👯♀️
These two have been bestie goals for the longest time and now they have taken it a step further! We see you, we see your hard work and sacrifice, and we are very proud as a department to call you ours 🫶🏻
They have decided to bless those of us that still have to walk this long road ahead of us with some sage wisdom and advice:
- Have a study buddy.
- Start studying on time
- Be content that you will not know everything.
- Your best is all that anyone can ask for.
- It’s okay to rest
- Study hard and play harder
- Leave the rest to God
When they’re not busy running the floor, owning the Thoracics and Cardiothoracics theatres and managing all our other admin (aka Leave and Call rosters) they spend their time indulging in a few hobbies:

- Cricket (We all know she is a super fan and the person to ask what the score is anytime there is a big game on) 🏏

Aggie Morosi

• Board Games 🎲
• Travelling ✈️
• Gym 🏋🏻
We’re excited to see what the future holds for these two! ✨

Another powerhouse duo was representing the UP fam at graduation and looking fabulous doing it🎓💃🏻
We sincerely appreciate everything that these two did for us in their last few weeks and what they’re still doing (aka Coffee Club ☕️)
And more importantly we are proud to call you our own! We just know they are taking the private sector by storm and keeping the UP name high out there! 🫶🏻
A few other Alumni were also in attendance and we would like to extend a heartfelt congratulations to them as well! 😊
